Masking is when you highlight aceratin portion of an image or cut or crop a certain portion of an image.

Track mattes relies on one layer being the fill and another being a matte.   The top layer in the pair is the matte.  The bottom layer in the pair is the fill.

Stencils are like an outline of something and make it looks different like spray pant.

Week9

Parenting is when you make a layer the parent and you can have other layers do as that one layer does.

Precomping is the action of selecting a set of layers in a master composition and assigning it to a new subcomp, which becomes a layer in the master comp. Closely related to this is composition nesting, the act of placing one already created composition inside of another.

Expressions

Jeremy Cox,

I chose Jeremy Cox because I was looking into his work and I like the cohesiveness he inputs in his projects. I like the way he animates from one scene to another.

I categorize it as fluid because it really flows well when it transits from one scene to another, it has a nice flow to it.

The video Rubicon Main Titles, (7 criteria)

1. The screen space is being used well throughout the whole project. It pretty much used the whole space.

2.It’s imagery is basically using a lot of text. It can also be seen as a typography project.

3. The symbols used in this video for me is the Text and how its put and animated.

4.  The time is pretty much on point. Everything lands right on time.

5.The music he used for the video is actually good smooth just like the video.

6.It’s intent is to make it seem as a movie credit scene.

7.The meaning for me is like a it means mystery.

Well. I really don’t think grouping for my mid-term project would have made a difference because I really didn’t repeat images or layers. Now that I know how to group layers and use them to make the project much more easier and less time consuming I would definitely do it when I need to.

1. Structures and Compositions

I feel like in this short animation the screen space was use well. It pretty much covers the whole screen.  To me the screen space is being use well.

2. Image and Image Type

The imagery used in the short animation is quite simple. It really fits well with the background’s music. The Imagery type is saying simplicity, bright, scared, or confused.
